The Santoni Pioneer Program (SPP) focuses on advanced knitting innovation and helps connect Chinese design talent with the international fashion system. Santoni’s SPP team and Italian seamless brand i-eXe established an agile workflow linking design, engineering and production to accelerate cross-functional development.
This season centered on the Santoni SM8-TOP2ST selected-terry circular knitting machine. Combining the machine’s capabilities with i-eXe’s design expertise, the teams developed selected-terry fabrics with both functional and aesthetic value.
Differentiated terry structures at the shoulders, knees and waist improve cushioning, thermal regulation and localized support. Three-dimensional terry patterns also add texture and visual identity while balancing breathability, fit, protection and all-day comfort.
The collaboration continues beyond training. Santoni will provide i-eXe with customized technical support and efficient sampling services, while the brand’s market insight and design requirements will inform future product development.
